Fuji Xerox is a global leader for document management services and has been recognised for its sustainability achievements by organisations such as the Banksia Environmental Foundation and the United Nations.
Fuji Xerox Australia commissioned The Footprint Company to carry out a Life Cycle Carbon Assessment of their recently completed Rosehill office in 2014 – to quantify the benefit of their re-cycling approach. Green Star LCA Innovation points were also claimed.
The re-use approach adopted by Fuji Xerox for the fitout has yielded a carbon reduction of approximately 44% over the reference case, saving 2,845 TCO2. The “avoided” emissions are equal to 19 years of their operational energy carbon footprint – i.e. it would take 19 years of not consuming any energy to result in the same reduction.
