Pymble Ladies’ College is an independent school for girls in Sydney’s north shore and engaged the Footprint Company (TFC) to complete a life cycle carbon footprint analysis of its new aquatic centre development.
TFC established a whole of building, whole-of-life impact from the project’s design drawings and cost plan. A shopping list of optimisation options was developed based on their ecological impact and cost effectiveness, as well as observations on design alternatives.
The assessment identified a pathway to reduce the project’s absolute carbon footprint by 15% with a cost saving of 3-4%.
